Health campaigners, Cure the NHS, have persuaded Stafford MP, David Kidney, to support their call for a public enquiry.
The group has persistently called for the hearing into "appalling" standards of care at Stafford Hospitalmfrom January 2005 to March 2009.
On Friday they picketed Mr Kidney's Penkridge surgery to demand his support in their quest and asking why no-one had been held to account for up to 1,200 needless deaths.

The recent report on Stafford Hospital was "the most damning" a local councillor has ever seen in his long political career. Speaking at last week's council meeting Coun cillor Bob Pritchard said:" one of the most appalling things was page after page of the disastrous attitude to incontinent people and to feeding people. There were hundreds of cases mentioned in the report. Meals were not being served, the patients were not being looked after. There was no attention to people with incontinence.
"Never in all my years in public life have I read a more damning report about the treatment of the older generation". Chase Post |
